Baird学校的穷学生Charlie•Simms和富家子弟George在一个夜晚目睹了Harry、Jimmy还有Trent三位同学对Trask校长恶作剧的准备。校长在大庭广众下被整，恼羞成怒，召集全校师生开庭公审，威胁利诱Charlie•Simms和George说出肇事者，George迫于压力终于说出，而Charlie面对说出来保送哈佛，不说的话退学处理的威胁利诱选择了沉默。退役中校Frank看到这一幕忍无可忍，仗义执言……
Trask: Mr. Simms, you are a cover-up artist and you are a liar.
Simms先生，你一个掩盖事实真相的撒谎者。
Frank: But not a snitch!

Trask: Excuse me?

Frank: No, I don't think I will.

What kind of a show are you guys puttin' on here today?
